北京金盾建材有限公司董事長閆志剛于1986年開始從事防水材料及混凝土外加劑的研究和生產(chǎn)，從創(chuàng)立伊始，就致力于系統(tǒng)化的解決防水相關(guān)問題，現(xiàn)已成為集科研開發(fā)、生產(chǎn)制造、材料銷售、工程施工、技術(shù)咨詢服務(wù)于一體技術(shù)企業(yè)。公司在北京順義、河北玉田設(shè)有大型現(xiàn)代化生產(chǎn)研發(fā)基地。公司從1992年開始從事改性瀝青系列防水卷材及防水涂料的研究與生產(chǎn)，是國內(nèi)較早一批的專業(yè)防水材料生產(chǎn)企業(yè)之一，公司是中國建筑防水協(xié)會(huì)理事會(huì)常務(wù)理事，全國防水技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)聯(lián)盟常務(wù)理事單位，北京市建設(shè)工程物資協(xié)會(huì)防水材料分會(huì)副會(huì)長單位、北京建筑防水行業(yè)誠信聯(lián)盟會(huì)員單位。
金盾公司在行業(yè)內(nèi)率先通過了GB/T 19001-2008/ISO 9001：2008 質(zhì)量管理體系認(rèn)證、GB/T 24001-2004/ISO 14001：2004環(huán)境管理體系認(rèn)證、GB/T 28001-2011/OHSAS 18001：2007 職業(yè)健康安全管理體系認(rèn)證、CTC（中國建材）認(rèn)證以及北京園林科學(xué)研究院耐根穿刺防水卷材的阻根測試。公司始終將技術(shù)創(chuàng)新作為提升企業(yè)核心競爭力的有力抓手，持續(xù)加強(qiáng)人才隊(duì)伍建設(shè)，不斷提升研究開發(fā)能力，公司創(chuàng)建了自己的研發(fā)中心，并與各大專業(yè)院校和防水行業(yè)研究機(jī)構(gòu)合作開展科研公關(guān)，成立了若干個(gè)科研專題小組，不斷研究出新產(chǎn)品新技術(shù)。
